Conservation activities
These events are designed to introduce
people of all ages to wildlife and its conservation. They offer you
a wide choice of opportunities to learn about the wildlife
surrounding us, and develop new skills in countryside crafts.
You'll learn about the Trust's Nature Reserves, the plants and
animals which thrive within them, and how we look after them. And,
by joining in our activities, you'll soon be playing your part in
helping to protect our natural heritage.
Nature-Force
If you have spare time during the week and
enjoy being out in the countryside, why not join Nature-Force? Our
'Nature- Force' mid-week volunteer group operates on Tuesdays,
Wednesdays and Thursdays throughout the year. Transport is provided
from Brandon Marsh Nature Centre at 9.00am with another pick-up on
the way to the day's task, returning to Brandon for 3.30 - 4.00pm,
weather permitting.
Nature-Force gives you the opportunity to
learn a wide variety of conservation skills - such as fencing and
wildlife surveying - with specially organised training days and
includes visits to different Nature Reserves throughout
Warwickshire, Coventry and Solihull.
Area Groups
We have four Local Area Groups who organise
a variety of popular events and talks in their local area. They
carry out a variety of work on behalf of the Trust, including the
highlighting of local issues, raising awareness at local shows and
events and raising funds.
All local groups are run by much valued volunteers.
Warwickshire Wildlife Trust provides
insurance cover for all volunteers, but responsible adults should
accompany children under 16.
