Entertaining education at holiday times for 4
- 11 year old.
Parents must accompany 4-7 year olds at all times and are welcome
to accompany older children during activities.

Birds Are Brilliant
Times: 10.30am - 12.00pm
Peek through the bird hides and use
binoculars to search for the birdlife of Brandon Marsh. Make your
own brilliant bird craft or feeder.
Thursday 26th August
Footprint Casting - Drop in Session
Times: 10.30am - 12.30pm
Drop in anytime to cast your own footprint,
let it dry then return to decorate it
Monday 30th August
Great Pond Dip
Times: 10.30am - 12.00pm
Investigate what's hiding in the murky
depths. Make friends while you take it in turns to pond dip and
create a watery creature to keep.
Tuesday 31st August
Brilliant Bushcraft
Times: 10.30am - 12.00pm
Adventure into the wilds and build your own
natural den. Get tribal and create a crazy totem pole to scare off
the other tribes

Celebrate Harvest festival - Join us for
some scarecrow fun, complete the scared crow trail and build a
scarecrow in teams.

Wild Food Forage
Times: 10.30am - 12.00pm
Especially for those aged 6 and above.
Autumn is here! Come and join us for a stroll around the reserve
and discover how plants and berries can be used for food. Have a
taste! Make a little apple and blackberry stew on the camp fire,
yum!
Friday 10th September
Family Bat and Moth Evening
Times: 7pm - 8.30pm
Come and have a look at the winged beauties
and learn about moths before heading out onto the reserve to watch
the experts of nocturnal aviation - bats.

Come to Brandon Marsh and spend the morning around the fire
learning the skills of bushcraft and survival.

Time: 10.30am - 12.00pm
Come and see if you can build a den in our woods. Collect survival
points as you build to see if you would make it out in the wild!
Make a survival craft indoors.
Monday 25th

Hedgehogs and Hibernation
Time: 10.30am - 12.00pm
Which animals hibernate? Find out which animals are still asleep
and which forage for their winter food. In teams, make a
hibernation home. Decorate a hedgehog mask to take home.
Wednesday 27th

Autumn Watch
Time: 10.30am - 12.00pm
Go on a sensory walk round the reserve whilst hunting for signs of
autumn. Search for berries, take some bark rubbings and create a
natural collage.
Thursday 28th
October
Ghastly Ghouls
Time: 10.30am - 12.00pm
Come along in fancy dress for some spooky games and goings on. Go
on a hunt for spooky spiders and slimy slugs, learn about bats and
make your own ghastly ghoulish creations!
Friday 29th

Halloween Horrors
Time: 10.30am - 12.00pm
Come along in fancy dress for some spooky games and goings on.
Make your own witch's broom or Halloween mobile and learn all about
bats.
Saturday 30th
October
Family Spooky Stories Evening
Time: 5:30pm - 7.00pm
If you're aged five or above, come in fancy dress to enjoy an
evening in our Celtic Roundhouse. Make a lantern then see if you
are brave enough to listen to the spooky stories. Toast
marshmallows by our camp fire before heading home. Don't
forget
to bring your torch!

Join us for some festive fun. Go on a reindeer trail. Create your
own sparkling Christmas decoration and reindeer mask.

Wassailing
Time: 4.00pm - 5.30pm
Join us in a wassail! Awaken the fruit trees and scare away evil
spirits to ensure a good harvest of fruit in the autumn. Make
trolls, drink cider (or apple juice) and make a lot of noise!
