Entertaining education at holiday times for 4 - 11 year old.
Parents must accompany 4-7 year olds at all times and are welcome to accompany older children during activities.

Beautiful Birds for Tots
Times: 10.30am - 12.00pm

Tots come and search for birdlife at the Parkridge Centre and make your own brilliant bird craft or mask.

 

Thursday 26th August

Super Spiders
Times: 10.30am - 12.00pm

 

Discover the secret world of the spider, learn how to make spiders webs magically appear and search the reserve for spiders of all shapes and sizes.

 

27th August

Super Spiders for Tots
Times: 10.30am - 12.00pm

Tots, search the reserve for spiders of all shapes and sizes, learn how to make spiders webs magically appear and make a spider craft.

 

Monday 30th August

Junior Wild Food Forage

Times: 10.30am - 12.00pm

Especially for those aged 6 and above. Autumn is approaching! Come and discover the early signs on the reserve. Learn how plants and berries can be used for food. Have a taste!

 

Tuesday 31st August

Scarecrows and Scared Crows
Times: 10.30am - 12.00pm

Celebrate Harvest Festival - Join us for some scarecrow fun, complete the scared crow trail and build a scarecrow in teams.

Nature's Fairies for Tots
Times: 10.30am - 12.00pm

Tots come and search the reserve for nature's fairies and follow the fairy trail. Collect natural materials and create your own fairy wings or bird mask.

 

Friday 17th September

Family Bat Bonanza
Times: 6.30pm - 8pm

In your family groups challenge yourselves to the batty quiz. Make a lantern to help you see when night falls, and join us on a hunt for experts of nocturnal aviation. Remember your torches for the walk back to the car park!

Half Term week

Monday 25th October
Survival Dens
Time: 10.30am - 12.00pm
Come and see if you can build a den in our woods. Collect survival points as you build to see if you would make it out in the wild! Make a survival craft indoors.

 

Tuesday 26th 27th October
Autumn Watch
Time: 10.30am - 12.00pm
Go on a sensory walk round the reserve whilst hunting for signs of autumn. Search for berries, take some bark rubbings and create a natural collage.

 

Wednesday 27th October
Hedgehogs and Hibernation
Time: 10.30am - 12.00pm
If you're aged five and under come and find out which animals hibernate. Discover which animals are still asleep and which forage for their winter food. In teams, make a hibernation home. Decorate a hedgehog mask to take home.

 

Thursday 28th October
Ghastly Ghouls
Time: 10.30am - 12.00pm
Come along in fancy dress for some spooky games and goings on. Go on a hunt for spooky spiders and slimy slugs, learn about bats and make your own ghastly ghoulish creations!

Friday 29th October
Halloween Horrors
Time: 10.30am - 12.00pm
Come along for a fancy dress adventure; be prepared for making gruesome mud trolls and witch's brews then back to Parkridge Centre to make your own marvellous monster or Halloween decorations.

Winter Wonderland

Join us for some festive crafts. Go on a winter walk and look for some Christmas Critters.
